My 8 Hours In Phoenix

Hey Readers! Hope everyone is having a glorious day! I went on a little adventure, and I can't wait to tell you all about it!

But first: WEDDING UPDATE: We are t-minus 9 days till my sister gets a new last name(Bankemper)! Her wedding dress is in from Barcelona, fitted, and ready to be walked down the isle!

Love you Stephanie Porter Bankemper!

NOW FOR THE ADVENTURE: So what do you do when one for your favorite people in the entire world is having a birthday, but doesn't live close to you anymore??? Naturally, drive 134.2 miles to surprise her...with gifts!

Then when you get there......

Take her to Taco Bell!
Then give her the best gift ever! EVERYBODY
deserves a nice watch.. or three in Jackie's case!

Everything turned out great! But there was only one flaw. Jackie didn't know I was coming so she had plans. So her friends, now my friends, had to babysit me. While Jackie was reading Bible verses to her Young Life students we went and got tattoos! Well at least one of us did, don't worry, it was not me!

Click Here! To see my views on tattoos!
This wasn't the actual tattoo parlor, but seriously, THE CRAWLING SQUID!
You can't make this stuff up!

Meet Kayla and Steph! My babysitters! Kayla got the tat! We got the design off my Iphone. She got an anchor.

Kayla=Blonde, Steph=Brunette!

I will NEVER, EVER get a tattoo, but will always be there with a thumbs-up when you get it!

Steph was there to hold her hand.
On a side note it was like 100 degrees out!
Water is a must!

 I guess those things hurt!
Steph now has Carpal Tunnel!

Still can't believe she is getting one!

Good to know!

Finished  product!
After we met back up with Jackie, got a cookie from the Student Union, and went to Uncle Teddy's house to swim.

Remember the Flaherty/ Alvarez/ McDonald family...that is the uncle!

Click here if you forgot who they are!

Found this on Uncle Teddy's fridge had to share:

Ashley McDonald then!
Oh, I see you liked to roller skate!

Ashley McDonald now!
Oh, I see you now like suspenders!

After I headed back home to T-Town. Arrived at 12:06am, went straight to bed. Woke up at 6am for school! I'ma champ!

Today is the day to surprise someone! Quit slackin' and make it happen!

Hope life is full of surprises wherever you are!

Happy Birthday, Jackie!

----Shannen

P.S. I am getting so good at driving on the freeway...it's ridiculous!
