Summer Part II

Last time we left off I was dog sitting two rambunctious Great Danes. Well,  a lot has happened. As many of you are aware my favorite cousin is prego! I love her and I will love her child but setting up for this baby shower is like dying a slow painful death by amputation...

From tying bows on the pardon gifts, to hanging oriental ornaments from the ceiling that won't stay up, I somehow have managed to find time to update this blog.

No amount of packing tape will hold these guys up.

Also, I had the privilege of house/dog sitting for my sis and her hubbs while they were in Mexico.

Took this sheep dog on a 3 mile walk.....was more hyper after.
Oh, and he ate 3 OF MY WORK SHIRTS!?!?!

Last week I had to be in Phoenix for a work seminar and my friends and I were tubing the salt river so we made a mini-vacation out of it!

The reunited gang at Dave & Busters.

Tubing the river may very well be one of our favorite things to do! We lost money, sunglasses, a few hats, and our dignity. No biggie! Still one of the greatest events of the Summer so far!

Our Check List:

-21ish tubes
-200 Jello Shots
-15 people
-7, 30 Packs
-5 coolers
-200 ft of rope (Left it in Tucson, had to make an emergency Wally World Run)
-Sanity(also left that is Tucson)

2K12--Last Summer!

2k13--This Summer! Missing a few!
 Gerhart, Ruben, and Kassidy
you were missed.

Jackie may still be stuck in high school. Note: Look at the hat!

When a fellow tuber runs out of brew!!
We are there to help!

We made a pit stop to stretch. Me,  Twerkin' on a tree!

Our day was filled with fun, laughter, and definitely sun, check out my legs!
For those of you that wanted to know...i'm still peeling!
Game. Over.

The next morning I was up a 5am, drove to China (North East Phoenix) and sat through a 6 hour seminar. Aside from sleeping through a majority of it,  I learned some valuable info and got a catered breakfast and lunch.

So official.

To backtrack a bit we had a phenomenal Memorial Day. Not only did we remember the "reason for the season" we mainly enjoy each others' company, the pool...and steak, yes, lots, of steak.

My sister can rock cowboy boots like no other girl I have ever seen.

Grill masters at work.

Twerkin' on a flag!

When Phoenix friends come down to visit!

But I've been back to work for a while now. This is the kind of stuff I have to put up with.

Happy Thursday! Hope life is beautiful wherever you are!

Summer Part I

Well, the Spring 2013 semester is officially OVA! My grades came in...not too shabby!  To begin my parents took me out to dinner to celebrate which was nice of them considering I wanted to go to Bj's but they had a gift card to Applebee's....but it was delicious none the less!

My dad "showed" me how to tie a cherry
stem knot at dinner. Very impressive!

Last weekend was very busy. For starters on Friday after work my buddies and I got together for an end of the semester bonfire. We had a blast hanging out. I have decided that it doesn't matter what we're doing but as long as were together we can mange to have a blast at any moment!

EARLY Saturday morning I helped my sister and the Community Food Bank. The food bank had their annual 'Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive'. The city was instructed fill a brown bag with canned food and leave it by their mail box. Then Steph and me drove door to door collecting the bags. 4 hours later our truck bed was filled twice full of goodies for the under privileged!  Sometimes I have faith in humanity, but just as I thought Tucson's generosity couldn't get any better, an older lady ran out of our house screaming at us demanding that we show her I.D. She thought we were stealing food. Then my sister showed her and assured her that she has served on the food bank board for almost a decade. Just to keep the day exciting!

After the food drive we headed to church for a Mother's Day Tea. We had fun but I don't do tea...

...or big hats.

Quickly after the Ladies Tea, the whole family was on our way to a wedding. Good family friends of ours got married at the Z Mansion. It was beautiful and we had a fantastic time! My favorite moment aside from the ceremony was that I had my first live doopleganger experience. I found my brother-in-law's twin. Had to take a picture for the record books.  We talked to him for a little while. His name is Clinton (on the right) and he went to high school with my sis and bro-in-law, and I guess they got the "you two look so much a like" for quite some time now!

I am house sitting right now and I am loving every minute of it. No one to answer to, clean up after, and most importantly I am surrounded by love from 2 of the biggest, nicest, Great Danes known to man! I had a few friends over for drinks and to play The Game of Life. I lost, had the most children, and debt!  Now, i'll drink to that!

Ruben and Jackie!

Duke and Bella. F.Y.I, I'm 5'3 so...

Being around these big dogs makes me feel so safe. I am just having a little trouble watching T.V. these days.

Great Dane problems.

Well, this Summer has gotten off to a very promising start! I'll keep you posted! Enjoy!

Hope life is beautiful wherever you are!

P.S. I forgot to mention last month that my sis and her hubby celebrated their first anniversary! Congrats again!

3 More Days!

3 more days till I am school free, because SUMMER is here! I cannot contain my excitement!

What I forgot to mention in my last blog was that I mysteriously caught the flu a week or so ago. I lost six pounds. Therefore, to my calculations I am only two more flus away from my goal weight!

Between studying and work I have managed to have a lot of fun lately!

My sister threw a slumber party on Friday while my brother-in-law was on a bear hunting trip. Their night consisted of wine, TPing, wine, eating, wine, and some more wine, and eating! I only came by to drop off the air mattress and ended up staying for, well, the whole night!  I love hanging out with my sister, and her crazy friends, when she allows it!

They dressed in all black for the TPing fiesta!

Even Dutch was dressed for the occasion.
Oh, and nice ski mask Steph!

Kris-sizzle, my other sister, and I at the slumber party. Struggle snuggle at its finest!

Shout out to Christie Kirk on her out-of-this-world Salted Caramel (GLUTEN FREE) cupcakes! Seriously, they were out of control!

My parents got new phones! My Mom can't stop Face-timing me! Welcome to Iphone life guys!

You see where I get it from!?!?

Been spending a lot of time with Zachy, and our dirt bikes lately!

Friends that play together, stay together!

Our favorite jumps behind the back alley where all the mattresses are. Ya know!

On Cinco de Mayo Jackie and I had a very merry margarita filled evening!

Yikes! Margaritas by the stein?

In our efforts to save money for our California strip this summer, we have been carpooling!

But there is only 4 seatbelts!?!
Still hitting the gym with my favorite ab crunch partner, and making deliciously healthy meals!

So.Pale.

Im on an egg white kick!

Jackie made me dinner one night!

Aside from all the fun I need to get back to studying, cause I have three finals to go! Please pray for me!

Hope life is beautiful wherever you are!

A month and a day...

So its been a while. After countless conversations with Jackie and multiple facebook timeline posts from friends and family I have decided to drop everything and update le blog!

So this past month has been insane! To begin, school is not getting any easier but there is light at the end of the tunnel!  Killed my last exam thou!

This is from my last Oceanography exam. I took this class because I thought it would be an easy A....well, not so much the case.

As for some exciting news, I bought a Baja Doodle Bug!

My friends and I have so much fun riding it, it's ridiculous!

John and I on a typical Sunday!

Oh, you know I have also been getting my tan on! Getting some great results!

How gingers tan! Don't forget the sunscreen!

Been doing a lot of shopping lately!

2am Walmart run. I was wearing boxer shorts...not sorry.

Spending a lot of Saturdays at the field watching our favorite Mija play softball. Families that match together...stay together!

But mostly this past month consisted of setting up/ planning for the party of the century. A.k.a Jackie's golden birthday!
My main Bia! Older and newer pics!

Zach and me getting the backyard cleared on a sunny Sunday afternoon!

Bought pizza for the party at the new neighborhood Walmart!
It's sooo clean... better go fast!

This past Friday the party was "Truck Yeah 'Merica" themed. In other words, come like a redneck and you will be fine! I think I nailed the costume!

Her actual Birthday was on Saturday. It was much lower key! Mexican food at her Mom's by day....bonfire with friends at night!

My favorite brother-sister duo!

Well,  until next month time!
Hope life is beautiful wherever you are!
