Summer Part I

Well, the Spring 2013 semester is officially OVA! My grades came in...not too shabby!  To begin my parents took me out to dinner to celebrate which was nice of them considering I wanted to go to Bj's but they had a gift card to Applebee's....but it was delicious none the less!

My dad "showed" me how to tie a cherry
stem knot at dinner. Very impressive!

Last weekend was very busy. For starters on Friday after work my buddies and I got together for an end of the semester bonfire. We had a blast hanging out. I have decided that it doesn't matter what we're doing but as long as were together we can mange to have a blast at any moment!

EARLY Saturday morning I helped my sister and the Community Food Bank. The food bank had their annual 'Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive'. The city was instructed fill a brown bag with canned food and leave it by their mail box. Then Steph and me drove door to door collecting the bags. 4 hours later our truck bed was filled twice full of goodies for the under privileged!  Sometimes I have faith in humanity, but just as I thought Tucson's generosity couldn't get any better, an older lady ran out of our house screaming at us demanding that we show her I.D. She thought we were stealing food. Then my sister showed her and assured her that she has served on the food bank board for almost a decade. Just to keep the day exciting!

After the food drive we headed to church for a Mother's Day Tea. We had fun but I don't do tea...

...or big hats.

Quickly after the Ladies Tea, the whole family was on our way to a wedding. Good family friends of ours got married at the Z Mansion. It was beautiful and we had a fantastic time! My favorite moment aside from the ceremony was that I had my first live doopleganger experience. I found my brother-in-law's twin. Had to take a picture for the record books.  We talked to him for a little while. His name is Clinton (on the right) and he went to high school with my sis and bro-in-law, and I guess they got the "you two look so much a like" for quite some time now!

I am house sitting right now and I am loving every minute of it. No one to answer to, clean up after, and most importantly I am surrounded by love from 2 of the biggest, nicest, Great Danes known to man! I had a few friends over for drinks and to play The Game of Life. I lost, had the most children, and debt!  Now, i'll drink to that!

Ruben and Jackie!

Duke and Bella. F.Y.I, I'm 5'3 so...

Being around these big dogs makes me feel so safe. I am just having a little trouble watching T.V. these days.

Great Dane problems.

Well, this Summer has gotten off to a very promising start! I'll keep you posted! Enjoy!

Hope life is beautiful wherever you are!

P.S. I forgot to mention last month that my sis and her hubby celebrated their first anniversary! Congrats again!
