Dear Dad,
Today is the day that we celebrate you. Not for turning another year older, or because of how many years that you have been married to my mom, or Christmas for that matter. But we celebrate you for the person you are. The person that spent 7 hours teaching me to ride my bike. That read me stories, checked my homework, and taught me to play tennis. That taught me how to frame a building, paint a wall, and drill drywall. (Carpenter by trade) You came to every match, play, recital, game, school/Church function and sat center stage. Today I thank you. I thank you for making the right choices in life. I realize that I am so lucky that I have a dad that was home every night that sat at the kitchen table and not on a barstool. That I have a dad that went to work instead of working the system. You taught me work ethic and manners. You taught me to have a sense of humor. "Kill em with comedy" You set an example for me that I try to achieve everyday.
Today I thank you, for being you.
Love,
Shannen--the daughter with the red hair
P.S. I hope you like the stuff that I got for you.
This is my Dad, Jeff. People say we look alike. But I don't see it.
I will let you decide!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
Hope life is beautiful wherever you are!
----Shannen
