As many of you know I have become very patriotic over the last few years but like many Americans I find myself spoiled and a complainer. It was my goal to find myself something to remind me not only of the amazing country we live in but to "cut back" on the complaining. With that in mind I finally framed one of my favorite pieces of art, "It is the Veteran"
It is displayed proudly in my room but there is only one problem. I am never home enough to enjoy it. So I started subscribing to American Patriot and found these memorial bracelets. I wanted to wear a bracelet for someone that gave true sacrifice. I stumbled across Lt. James K. Patterson whom was a POW. If you have a good 10 minutes click below for the full biography, a true man of service, as well as both an encouraging and heartbreaking story.
My goal in life is to quit complaining. Now, as we all know that is easier said than done. Hopefully when I look at this bracelet I think of a true hero. Although I have never met Lt. James K. Patterson or even lived during his time of service I understand that the life I live now was all made possible with his service, and his death will never be in vein.
