The Tucson Padres!

Sunday boredom, not quite. After work I finished up the rest of my Sunday with the Triple A Tucson Padres and some Birthday cake for Connor! It was a double header. We won the first game and I was too exhausted to see the second! With a few trips to the gift shop and Eegee's later we called it a night!

Here is a few pics from the game! My little cousins had a great time. However, they kept bringing up the Frisco Rough Riders. I fixed those conversations right up!! Also it was "Bark In The Park Night!" I got to hang with my Big Sis!! Can life get any better! I don't think so!!

Technically It's Thursday. Thursday loves.

Sorry I have been a little busy this past week. My little cousins are in from Dallas and it has been nonstop. So Tuesday Loves on a Thursday doesn't have a nice ring to it but here we go.

1) Sushi...sorta! 

Lets make one thing clear, I like my food cooked. So I hate Sushi but the atmosphere in Ichiban on Broadway and Harrison is so cool. I also got to enjoy the company of my cousin and her co-worker Chelsea. I order a Shrimp Boat which sounded good but it looked like this....

Yeah...that is RAW egg. Are you with me. GROSS!

2) Video Games.

My 11 and 12 year old cousins are video game fanatics. We have been hitting the PS3 hard this week playing MLB12, NBA2K12,  and Split Second a Race Car Game.  Also my buddies dug up their old Nintendo 64 and have been playing old school games. Pokemon Stadium, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2. 007 Eagle Eye and who can forget Mario Party! Good times have already been made. 

3) Driving.

Me and Zach traded cars...and glasses. This is quite the accomplishment because I have an emotional and physical attachment to my Civic. I traded for a FORD pick up I was refreshing to sit up high for a while and not be cut off my crappy Tucson drivers!

4) Chess.

Aside from Video Games we have been using mental brain power as well instead of just getting some thumb exercise in.

5) Birthday Celebrations.

No descriptions needed. 

6) Sleeping.

I like sleeping till noon, I mean it's summer. But the little cousins don't allow this to happen that often. 

7) Being inspired.

Some times we all need a little inspiration. I like looking up quotes and videos. They help me keep going in this stressful big world and makes life and decisions seem less scary and/or intimidating. 

That is what I have loved about my last week.

Tuesday Loves

It's that time of week again! What do you love?

1)

Late Night Swimming. It is so great and there is NO one at the pool. I don't get a sunburn which is almost unheard of. Also is a great time to hangout with friends because we are all so busy with work in the day time. 

2)

Monsoons, again. I think I will always love monsoon season for the soul fact that we usually never get rain during the year. This picture was taken outside my window. It was pouring that day...definetly had to stay inside. 

3)

Riding bikes with Zach. He found his old BMX bike and has been practicing again. He is pretty good at it too. One night he almost biffed it so hard it was comical but I am glad that he has found something to do to occupy his time while we are apart. 

4)

Working out at Platinum Fitness.  My friend Zach works out there (pictured above) and he has a free guest pass and has been taking me. I really love it there except whenever I walk in I know half the people working out there. I feel it is just a prequel to my soon to be 10 year high school reunion. 

5)

School Shopping....Not! Although I love a lot of things, one thing that I am dreading is shopping for school. I went to Walmart to pick up a few things and brushed past the"Back to School" isle and caught a glimpse of this. Also, the thought of going back to school makes me realize that summer will be dying down soon and I'm not looking forward to it. 

6)

Combining two types of food. The other day my friend Paige and I combined Chipotle and Eegee's.  Sounds weird but totally works. Give it a try.

Cigar Night...Every Night?

Well, maybe not every night because then I would die from emphysema fo sho! 

You know I have an obsession with cigars right?

With that in mind, listen to this story.

On Saturday Night my parents had a progressive dinner with their friends. Do you know what a progressive dinner is? Neither did I! Basically to sum it up in a nutshell, is a few couples get together and split the fun between everyones house. For example there were 4 couples. Couple 1 had drinks at their house. Couple two had appetizers at their house. Couple 3 (my mom and dad) had the main course, and lastly couple four ended the evening with desserts at their house. My Mom and Dad as well as the rest of the group had a great time. But just like everything in my life I had to make it exciting!  While the couples were at my house I broke out my Havana Honeys, aka my nice and smooth vanilla cigars and everyone was in love...well at least the men, me, and my mom(she likes cigars too!) were in cigar heaven!

But before the dinner I hung out with my friends in the front yard. Don't get excited Blogland...it's a hookah (flavored tobacco through a pipe). But trust me, I don't take hits off of that thing. I cough every time.

On Sunday I worked pretty much all day. We have been extremely busy at the store and we are seeing no end in sight. Maybe it's the weather? Currently snuggling under a blanket watching One For The Money(pretty good flick by the way!) and blogging...truly doesn't get any better!

I Bet You Didn't Know...

...that

1) I hate wearing/carrying a purse so I rock a man wallet! And I'm proud of it! My mom gets so mad at me. She says that I am going to lose my wallet, keys, or phone because I keep them all in my pocket. Truth is I would lose the purse because I am so forgetful meaning that I would lose all three. Therefore my mom and I never argue about it because I would win due to that last statement.

2) I have a pretty good jump shot!

3) I am a sucker for framed wall art,  Norman Rockwell is my favorite illustrator hence the (4) Saturday Evening posts on my wall.

4) I have a slight obsession that has developed since '96! I love the PHX Coyotes! When I redecorated my mom made me put everything on one wall. 

5) While I wear my glasses to see (obviously) I am constantly taking them off.  Just between you and me I can't stand wearing them. They irritate my face and make my nose sweat,  so to solve the problem I take them off. My friends all try them on. I just happen to find out much later...in pictures no less.

However, I think they still look better on me!

And lastly another fun fact. 

6) I am a Cigar fanatic! Lately I have been smoking Cohiba's, an imported cigar from the Dominican Republic. My motto is the best way to get to know someone is over a cigar and/or beer.

On vacation. You are NEVER to old for a cigar.

Monsoons. Being a native Tucsonan has its ups and downs. I mean most days it is so hot that I can fry an egg on the sidewalk. But days like yesterday where the monsoon rain trickles in and cools the area. Those are the summer days that I love and live for.

Basketball with Zachy! Lately Zachy and I have been playing basketball a lot. We are trying to help each other get back into shape! So far so good! You can catch us at Jesse Owens almost daily! I love basketball and Zachy so I am automatically programed to love this...

5)

Being American! If you don't love this then I ask you to stop reading, please. I FINALLY got my Voter Registration card in the mail which makes for all the better. Game On. I love that I am a female that has freedoms and rights that cannot be taken away. Tell me any other country on the planet where that last statement is true.

Songza. I am a music fanatic. I listen to music in the car(duh), at work while in the back room, in my room, at the park playing basketball with Zachy, Studying, even while reading sometimes. I usually rely on Pandora to fulfill my music needs. However, Pandora has been slacking lately, so I switched to Songa and I haven't looked back. I fulfills every music genre and more! Give it a try. Available in the App Store.

Baking. Enough Said.

Playing PingPong with John, Shayna, and Zachy. We don't have paddles so we use our hands. Some may call this ghetto...I call it inventive! We will literally play for hours and not get bored, maybe tired, but definitely not bored!
